Have you got a new puppy?
Have you got a dog that is out of control?
Have you got a rescue dog that has learned bad habits?
Dog Training classes aren't for everyone, so private dog training sessions allow you to get the benefit of dog training classes, but in the comfort of your own home or local dog park. It is also good for dogs that only misbehave in certain situations, or when certain people are present. A well trained dog is a pleasure to be around and take out for walks.
Training a dog or young puppy can be stressful and time consuming, however with the right techniques you can learn how to get results and enjoy the time you spend with your dog. As a professional dog trainer, Esther has had experience training lots of dogs using a variety of techniques. Dogs learn quickly when training is fun and as with humans, dogs like to get their 'wages'. This may be in the form of treats, a game or verbal praise. Each dog breed is different and each dog is different so you will make progress quickly by having one to one dog training.
Another benefit of having one to one dog training is that the whole family can get involved. Often it isn't practical in a class situation to include the whole family, so having a dog trainer come to your home means everyone can learn how to get success. If everyone in the family is using the same commands your dog will learn a lot faster and be less likely to get confused.
It may be that your dog is a little angel at home but as soon as you step out the front door he or she becomes out of control. The training sessions can take place where ever you choose so that you can learn how to get results in real life situations. It is surprising how many people don't enjoy taking their dog for a walk because the dog pulls on the lead or shows other unwanted behaviour. Taking your dog for a walk should be an enjoyable experience for you and your dog, and will give your dog a positive channel for using his or her energy. Even if you just want to learn how to keep your dog under control while out for a walk, you will find this will have a positive impact on your dogs over all well being.
The type of food you give your dog can also affect their behaviour. As with people, choosing a healthy balanced food for your dog helps their mental as well as physical health.
